Hommes ou Bêtes is a French top-of-the-range men's ready-to-wear house born in 2017 from a passion for textiles and a desire to bring colours back to life.
It promotes the French art of living, a certain idea of aesthetics, elegance and refinement, embodied by the men it has chosen to name its jackets after, Prince de Sagan, Christian Bérard, Paul Morand, Roger Nimier, Philippe Noiret, Bernard Boutet de Monvel.
Its creations are in the spirit of craftsmanship, where quality goes hand in hand with excellence and simplicity. Its clothes are made with fabrics from the greatest Italian, English and Japanese companies. From the fabric to the finished product, every jacket, every shirt, every pair of trousers goes through key stages that are all markers of the sought after excellence: canvassing, alterations, etc.
THE BRAND FOUNDER: JEAN-BÉRENGER DE NATTES
Jean-Bérenger de Nattes has always been active in the artistic world. Curiosity and creativity are the key words of his creations, enriched by his many tavels around the world. He is known for his contemporary style characterised by a certain classicism that stems from the great French tradition. For many years, he worked as an interior designer in the United States, Japan and France. This profession, which he pursued for more than fifteen years, led him to become a
upholstery fabric designer - JBN Fabrics - as well as a contemporary furniture design brand- JBN Design
Passionate about textiles and forms, ready-to-wear has become an obvious choice for him since it represents the synthesis of all the skills he has acquired over the years, namely textiles and the development of both classic and modern designs. Thus, the combination of the two led to the creation of Hommes ou Bêtes.
